मैं भी बहते पानी के किनारे
चिड़ियों के कलरव को सुनता हुआ
अपनी बांह फैलाए खड़ा रहना चाहता हूं
चाहता हूं कि मुझसे हर इंसान कुछ मांग सके
और मैं इतना सक्षम बनूं
कि कभी किसी को मना न करूं।
गर बड़ा ना हो पाऊं
छाया न दे पाऊं
फल फूल से वंचित रहूं
तो भी चाहता हूं
कम से कम देखने वालों को
दो पल खुशी तो दे सकूं।
मैं भी पेड़ होना चाहता हूं।
